Born and raised in a small town called Gnesta in Sweden where I grew up with a salesman and dansband father, a strict mother and a grandmother who loved to draw and write. My introduction to the business was as an employee at a web agency where I worked within sales, project management, but mostly development of our local web portal namned Kringelstan.se for almost 5 years. It was instructive and fun with customer relations, comission salary and the development of the internet. Customers range was from the lonely Lebanese cobbler to the State Employment Service. I realized meanwhile that I wanted to work with integrated campaigns in several medias and not just within internet, so I applied for Berghs School of Communication. And got accepted.

At Berghs, I studied Art Direction for 2 years fulltime and learnt how to communicate through simple, concrete messages in traditional and some more non-traditional channels. I received some prizes and awards and these has meant a lot beacuase they are based on my own performances. I was rewarded for “Best Class Mate 2005” wich is selected by all the students. On graduation day, I was one who got besides the traditional Berghs Diploma a special “Diploma of Honour”, and it rewards the person that developed most in creative and strategic thinking and shows sensitivity towards others. Feelt great to recive anyway. The final award was a special mention that I received when I was in charge of the school’s final exhibition. We were responsible of conception, marketing, sponsorship and logistics during the three days of Berghs final exhibitions. This was optional and run parallel with my own exam projekt, “Diego - a young business magazine”.

Immediately after Berghs I got employment as an Art Director on a communication agency with clients such as Eurosport, Xbox 360, Discovery Channel, Microsoft and other. The agency worked at this time only with Trade and Events, but wanted to offer more 360-thinking and gain growth in the Communication department. We worked a lot with events and it was no lazy days with strict graphic profiles, late work and innovative campaigns. I enjoyed the work and especially the events where it gave me much feedback and consumer insights. People you meet at events are obviously very keen on discussing and reflecting their opinons on your brands. So it was useful stuff we took back home and used when we created the next campaign.

Mats Lindahl CEO at Delorean and teacher at Berghs of the class “Radio & Sound” contacted me and asked if I was interested in working as an “digital” Art Director for them. Delorean wanted to offer clients integrated extensions through music, mobile devices, blogs, ringtones, campaign pages, banners, viral film etc and this was something unique to an produktion company. It sounded like great fun because I also had the chance to learn scriptwriting. The decision was easy when Delorean also had the reputation of being the nicest agency in the business. I learnt a lot about the strength in commercial radio & music and after almost 1 year I left Delorean to work as a freelancer.

I started Publicidad and worked as a freelancer for 6 months with web, event, print, strategy and music productions. It was an awful time not having people around me, so I contacted IUM when they had an opening for the title Creative Media Manager. Sounded perfect. The work within the Concept & Innovation department at IUM has involved me in all those areas that I wanted. Sales, development, customer relations and project management. It has been a great mix of creative and strategic environment and it has given me the opportunity to work broader and more integrated within all medias. From communication platforms and concepts to extensions of my clients campaigns through Events, AFP, PR, CSR, Geurilla, Social Media and digital solutions in various forms. All wrapped in entertaining content that is commercialized.

So, after 3 fantastic years at IUM I feel comfortable, but mostly confident that it’s time to start my own agency. So that’s why me and 3 friends started “Sunny at Sea”, a communication agency with focus on innovation, concept, design & development. The thing that makes Sunny at Sea unique, for me, would be that it let’s me work with 3 people who are as much enthusiastic as I am. They keep me going. And vice versa.

I sing in a band and work as a DJ sometimes. I have done some TV-hosting, producing events, films and commercials. Held educations and lectures within advertising and media for schools and companys. I also developed and launched a unique “doubleblog” and a digital wine community... and I'm just getting started.
